Dear Parents and Students,

Early Dismissal at 2:10 PM.

In the Fall, we will closely monitor the temperature in the building.  Our students will be dismissed at 2:10pm on days that the temperature exceeds our pre-determined threshold.  This decision is made at 12:00pm daily.  Once the decision has been made, all local channels (listed below) will be contacted to broadcast the information.

If you are unable to receive the announcement by radio or television, you can either call the school or check the website.  It will be put online as soon as we are cancelling.  We all hope that the unbearable weather we have been dealing with has now passed.  If it has not, then at least a plan of action has been established.  Thank you for all of your support.

This is a new program that we will be using this year. 

This system will contact every parent and employee in our district within two seconds of the decision about school being closed. 

The phone number that is located on our student's contact lists will be automatically called with a message about school being closed. 

So, if your phone numbers are not updated, please do so as soon as possible. 

The program can hold up to five different phone numbers if you would like to have them added to the list.  (Examples - home phone, work phone, cell phone, babysitter's phone are all possible.) 

These numbers would always be called when the school closing broadcast was made.
