My Contact is one of the Chinese teachers that
came to Edinburg Community School District on January 18, 2008.
Her name is Canary Yu Yang. We are working together in
hopes of developing a strong relationship between our schools,
staff, and students.

China is
presently celebrating their traditional Chinese Spring
Festival now, everyone got 7 days off for it . It may last for 15
days . The Spring Festival is the most important festival in
China , it's something like your Christmas , when families get
together and celebrate it. So you can see everybody smiling and
saying "Happy Spring Festival " to each other when they meet in the
street or talk on the phone . I want to tell everyone in Edinburg,
"HAPPY SPRING FESTIVAL." The Spring Festival is our Chinese
Lunar New Year. Each family makes good preparations for it .
Our children enjoy it the most because they can get whatever
(presents) they want .

Here are some pictures taken from the mall and my house . You may
see the Chinese word ' 福” in almost every picture. This word
means good luck and more happiness . I hope you like the
pictures . I'll take some more for you in a couple of days .
